Fish: Rhadinichthys alberti (Jackson). Lower Carboniferous. Albert Mines, New Brunswick. Collector: A. Gordon, Rev. Berrie and W.C. Good. New Brunswick Museum (NBMG 3107). Specimen length 7.5 cm. Palaeoniscid fish belong to an extinct Order of the ray-finned fishes (Actinopterygii). Today the ‘bony fishes’ make up most of the world’s vertebrates, including 95% of the 25,000 species of fish.
