Sandstone quarries in the Boss Point Formation at Mary’s Point were famous during the mid to late 1800s. Marketed as ‘Mary’s Point Grey’ and ‘Mary’s Point Red’, sandstone from these quarries were used Boston, New York, Philadelphia and closer to home in Halifax and Saint John.
