ICC Copper Ingot: Intercolonial Copper Company. Upper Carboniferous. Dorchester, New Brunswick. Collector: unknown. New Brunswick Museum (NBME 1020). Specimen width 22 cm. Copper was produced in the Dorchester area for many years following the first discovery in the 1870s. In the early 1900s the Intercolonial Copper Company took ownership of the mine. Crushed ore was smelted on site.
