Tetrapod Tracks: Pseudobradypus Matthew. Lower Carboniferous. Upper Rockport, New Brunswick. Collector: R.F. Miller, J. McGovern and D.J. Mossman, 1997. New Brunswick Museum (NBMG 10128). Footprint width 5 cm. Tetrapods moved to the land near the end of the Devonian and start of the Carboniferous. Amphibians and reptiles left their footprints in the soft mud of shallow pools. Footprints called Pseudobradypus are often thought to have been made by reptiles, possibly making these Early Carboniferous prints among the oldest evidence for reptiles.
