Matthew, Hugh Fletcher, and possibly W.F. Ferrier and G.A. Young. Geological Survey of Canada, No. 1614. George Matthew was considered Canada’s Cambrian geology expert by the Geological Survey of Canada. He was a ‘Temporary Geologist’ with the Survey for most of his Custom’s House career. In this photograph he accompanies Geological Survey of Canada staff on a field excursion in Saint John.
